Nice article as always Tony. I wonder though why do you classify ConfigMap/Secrets as an ephemeral form of storage - they aren't destroyed when the Pod is destroyed and so aren't ephemeral more than any other resource type. Also, the volume types you refer to as deprecated - surely you mean the Kubernetes "in tree" drivers as opposed to the CSI driver versions.
